Terms of Use
Last updated 3 October 2026
These terms are between you and Adaptive Consulting Ltd., Hungary, which runs SplitJam. By using the SplitJam apps or website you agree to them. Questions go to hello@splitjam.com.
Your recordings
What you record and import stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store what you share with a band, process it (finding songs, splitting stems) and show it to your band's members. Share only recordings you have the right to share, and don't use SplitJam to distribute other people's music.
Bands and Band Cloud
Members of a band can listen to, download and remix what's shared with the band. If you leave a band or delete your account, what you shared stays with the band (shown as from a former member) unless you delete it first.
SplitJam Pro
SplitJam Pro is bought for a band: one member subscribes and every member of that band gets Pro in that band. It's an auto-renewable subscription, monthly or yearly, sold through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, and the subscription renews at the same price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel it in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under its terms.
The subscriber can move Pro to another band of theirs. When Pro ends, the band keeps everything it made with it and goes back to the free jams: the first two jams with stems, then one a month.
The free tier and what Pro includes may change; changes to a subscription you've bought apply from your next renewal, and we'll tell you in the app beforehand.
Fair use
Don't try to break or overload the service, get around its limits, or reach other people's data. We may suspend accounts that do, or that share content that's unlawful.
The service
We work to keep SplitJam running and your data safe, but it's provided as it is: song detection, naming and stem separation are automatic and won't always be right, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. Keep your own copies of recordings that matter. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses or lost data. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer.
Ending
You can stop using SplitJam and delete your account at any time (Bands & Account → Delete Account). Deleting the account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in Settings.
Law
Hungarian law applies, without taking away the protection of the law where you live if you're a consumer. How we handle personal data is in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app if the change matters.
